Darcy's Diary presents the story of the unlikely courtship of Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy from Darcy's point of view. It seems incredible that it's now seven years since Darcy's Diary first came out in hardback, and five years since the first paperback edition, called, of course, Mr Darcy's Diary, but Mr Darcy is unstoppable. Darcy's Diary came to me during my tenuous Pride and Prejudice obsession. Well yes, even I--the sarcastic and gothic Bronte-lover--had a phase of deep infatuation with Mr. Darcy's Diary by Amanda Grange I believe was published 1st by a few years. It's told through the eyes of Mr. I started reading Jane Austen books in junior high; honestly, the first one I read was Emma because I loved the movie Clueless. This month I am reviewing Georgiana Darcy's Diary by Anna Elliott. The diary version of Pride and Prejudice from Darcy's perspective is not a new creation, actually the more enjoyable Mr. Darcy's Diary by Amanda Grange is a re-telling of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Darcy's younger sister searches for her own happily-ever-after. Darcy's Diary: A Novel, by Amanda Grange Sourcebooks (2007) I had no idea there was such a vast number of Austen-inspired books and one of the first ones I got was Mr Darcy's Diary. I mentioned at the end of Amanda Grange's "Dueling Darcy's" post that you'd maybe want to keep an eye out for more about 2 of her books (which were referenced by the Darcys), Dear Mr Darcy and Pride and Pyramids Here is (one of) the reason(s) I told you to keep your eyes peeled.
